The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted our lives in one way or another. For those of us who find ourselves looking for something to do while we shelter in place, we have put together a list of eBooks, audiobooks, and podcasts. Let’s try to proactively use our time at home while we practice social distancing.

This is a completely FREE collection of audiobooks for kids to listen to while they are home. You do not need an Audible or Amazon account to listen to them. Some of the stories are classics that adults would enjoy too. Create a time in the day to listen together as a family! Access these free titles from any device at stories.audible.com.
Kindle Unlimited is a membership service offered through Amazon. Start a free Kindle Unlimited trial to access the books and audiobooks offered through this platform. Many of the books listed in this post are offered through the Kindle Unlimited program.
For those who don’t have as much time for sitting down to read, an audiobook can be very engaging. Start an audible trial for 30 days.
If you are an Amazon Prime member, take advantage of ten titles available through Prime Reading. These are titles that can be borrowed from the Prime Reading library. You can borrow ten titles at once and they can be read in the Kindle app or on a Kindle. There is a great variety of books available for both children and adults. It is easy to return titles and check out new ones. It’s like a library of books just for Prime members.
Library Apps
If you have a library card at your local library, check out these library apps to access FREE eBooks and audiobooks. These are not available at every library branch but many participate in these programs.
As we all figure out how to navigate these weeks at home, we hope to find ways to make use of the time and continue growing emotionally, spiritually, physically, and relationally. The unknown is scary and the fight is real, but God is here with us and He is bigger than COVID-19.
Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind.
