I love all of this podcast in its entirety, we all are a work in process. I especially love the statement that a person can’t lead another beyond them but the other person can surpass them. Blessings!!
I enjoyed Rodney, Trevor and Nick’s insights and perspective on a “no shame” church. I like the idea that its initially the responsiblity of our pastor/elders to blaze a trail towards a “no shame” church, but I also like the idea that each of us still has an opportunity to influence those around us by owning our mistakes, being real with our friends and finding ways to share our stories in safe, appropriate ways – even when we are still in the middle of things and its messy. Plus, I also like the idea that our churches could be “spiritual hospitals” where the sick/broken are healed and cared for.
