All you need is a device that connects to the internet (tablet, laptop, or computer) with a microphone and webcam. You can be anywhere in the world while you receive counseling from Pure Desire! Pure Desire Client Care is here to help you download the free application and connect with your clinician.

</details>

Pure Desire counseling sessions are scheduled as an online video conference in Zoom.

</details>

Pure Desire would strongly encourage couples to go through the counseling process together (if both spouses are willing). We have male/female clinician teams that work with couples so that both spouses can be supported in the process.

</details>

Pure Desire would encourage you to pursue individual counseling for yourself if your spouse or significant other is not willing to participate in counseling at this time. We offer individual counseling, whether you are the struggling spouse or the betrayed spouse. We can integrate your spouse into the counseling process at any time if they choose to participate.

</details>

The schedule for counseling sessions will depend on the course of care that is recommended by your clinician after you complete the initial evaluation. Completing the assessments and meeting with a clinician will help to determine how often you should schedule sessions and how long those sessions will be.

</details>

The options for scheduling can vary depending on which clinician you are assigned to meet with for counseling. We have clinicians that are available throughout the week, both during the day and in the evenings, and some clinicians are also available on Saturdays.

</details>

Pure Desire currently has 14 clinicians on staff that offer individual counseling, with 6 male/female clinician teams that offer couples counseling. We understand that it is important to build a relationship of trust with your clinician to help you feel comfortable during your counseling sessions, so we take time to review your assessment results and consider which clinician or clinician team may be the best fit for you based on personality, experience, and expertise.

</details>

Each clinician team at Pure Desire has a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist (CSAT) or Pastoral Sexual Addiction Professional (PSAP) certified through the International Institute of Trauma & Addiction Professionals (IITAP). This prepares our clinicians to work with clients that are struggling with a sexual addiction or healing from sexual betrayal. Pure Desire clinicians are also experienced pastors, equipped to provide biblically-based counseling and to work with struggling pastors and ministry leaders.

</details>

The cost for the initial evaluation includes assessments and initial session. The evaluation cost will depend on the program that you pursue, ranging from $422.50-$772.50. After you have completed the assessments and initial session, counseling sessions are billed based on the clinician’s hourly rate: $189.00 per hour for individual counseling or $286.00 per hour for couples counseling (meeting with a male/female clinician team). Cost of resources and groups are additional.

</details>

The cost for the initial evaluation is required prior to starting the evaluation process. After you have completed the assessments and initial session, you can choose to pay per session for the counseling that is recommended for you or you can set up a monthly automatic payment. If you require further assistance, we may be able to provide options for extended payment plans. Contact Pure Desire Client Care for more information. We are only able to provide general information regarding payment plan options until you have completed the evaluation and confirmed the recommended course of care.

</details>

Pure Desire does not work directly with insurance companies for billing. If you have questions about the type of receipt or statement that Pure Desire can provide, please contact Pure Desire Client Care.

</details>

Pure Desire does not release client information without written permission. The few exceptions to confidentiality are mandated by State and Federal laws.

</details>

The Pure Desire Leaders (PDL) program is a partnership program that supports churches, denominations, and ministries by offering care to their pastors and ministry leaders. If you are a pastor or ministry leader with a PDL partner, then a 25% discount on counseling is available to you. Contact your supervisor or office to get the discount code that can be applied at checkout. If your church or ministry is interested in becoming a PDL partner, you can find more information here.

</details>

The evaluation process is the first step in your counseling program, and it includes online assessments and an initial session. It helps your clinician create a personalized Recommended Course of Care to support you in your journey to hope and healing. The forms and assessments will generally take about 4-6 hours total, and these can be done in your own time. The evaluation session can be scheduled about 1-3 weeks after completing the forms and assessments (depending on the availability of your clinicians).

</details>

Pure Desire groups support your recovery and healing while you are in counseling. We see them as an important part of the healing process because connecting with others is essential to breaking isolation and healing shame.

</details>

A trauma informed approach to care is integrated within the Pure Desire (PD) clinical counseling program. No PD counseling client is labeled as a co-dependant (although one resource sometimes used will reference the term). To assure trauma informed care, all prospective PD clinical counseling clients are administered an intake assessment which includes the PTSI (Post Traumatic Stress Index) and may also include the IPAST (Inventory for Partner Anxiety, Stress, and Trauma).

If during the evaluation session the PD Clinician determines that the scope of trauma reactivity is severe and outside the clinician’s scope of competency and expertise, the prospective client will be referred to a more appropriate level of care. If an elevated level of trauma reactivity is determined to be within the scope of competency for the PD Clinician, either EMDR or Brainspotting will be recommended and integrated within the construct of the PD clinical counseling program.

</details>

How does online video counseling work?
