Couples 12-Month Clinical Counseling
The Pure Desire Couples Counseling Program is designed to promote recovery and restoration from sexual addiction, intimacy disorders, and betrayal trauma within the Christian community. Clients will learn to develop sexual, emotional, relational, and spiritual health through the 12-month counseling program. An experienced male/female clinician team will meet with a couple so that both spouses receive the support they need.
Program Requirements
- 2-hour evaluation with male/female clinician team (assessments included)
- A 12-month commitment to the program
- Two 1.5-hour sessions per month
- Clinician-led full disclosure process
- Participation in a Pure Desire group
- Commitment to weekly assigned work

Struggling Spouse:
- • Sexual Dependency Inventory—Revised 4.0 (SDI-R)
- • Post Traumatic Stress Index—Revised (PTSI-R)
- • Taylor-Johnson Temperament Analysis (T-JTA)
Betrayed Spouse:
- • Post Traumatic Stress Index—Revised (PTSI-R)
- • Taylor-Johnson Temperament Analysis (T-JTA)
- • Inventory for Partner Attachment, Stress, & Trauma – Revised 2.0 (IPAST)
Additional Costs:

Individual 12-Month Clinical Counseling
The Pure Desire Individual Counseling Program is designed to bring recovery and restoration from sexual addiction and intimacy disorders within the Christian community. Clients will learn to develop sexual, emotional, relational, and spiritual health through the 12-month counseling program.

Spouse Support Counseling
The Spouse Support Counseling Program offers a safe space to heal from the trauma of betrayal, establish healthy boundaries, and explore the depths of forgiveness. A Pure Desire clinician will work with you to create a personalized course of care that will meet you where you are at.

- 1.5-hour evaluation with clinician (assessments included)
- A 10-month commitment to the program
- Two 1.5-hour sessions per month
- Participation in a Pure Desire group
- Commitment to weekly assigned work

Full Disclosure Program
The Full Disclosure Program includes six, 90-minute sessions over a 3-4 month period. This program is for couples who are near completion in PD groups and have made progress together in their healing. An experienced male/female clinician team will prepare the couple for each step of the disclosure process and will help them create a trajectory for restoration and healing.
Admission Prerequisites
- Completion or near completion of PD group work (Seven Pillars and Betrayal & Beyond)
- Sobriety from acting out for a minimum of 90 days
- Recovery support people are available – PD support group members preferred
- A desire to continue healing in the relationship
Please note: If one or both parties are considering separation or divorce, Pure Desire recommends that you seek legal counsel and not engage in this full disclosure/polygraph exam work.
